La Mata Rosada

This Malecón landmark has been luring local expats and foodies since the late 1990s. Ceiling fans keep you cool as sea breezes waft in from the bay across the street. Some excellent choices are mahimahi, shrimp, or a mix of grilled lobster and other shellfish. Go local or international, but begin with the ceviche, a specialty of this port town.
